Three of guitars have a solid spruce top, two of them a solid red cedar top and one of them only plywood. The wood of the top makes a noticeable difference, but also their sides and backs (laminated mahogany, maple, beech, or nut among others) may influence the sound a little bit. The cheapest guitar has been a low budget guitar made in China, the others were guitars that are made in Europe (Spain and Germany). These were the six: Hofner HGL5 - solid spruce top\/laminated nut back &amp; sides Hofner HZ23 - solid red cedar top\/laminated mahogany back &amp; sides Admira Flamenco - solid spruce top\/laminated sycamore maple back &amp; sides Admira Monica - solid red cedar top\/laminated rosewood (or ovangkol - mongoy?) back &amp; sides Fame Blanca, i.e. Hopf-Hellweg CS 30 - solid spruce top\/laminated breech back &amp; sides Martinez MTC-100 - plywood top\/unidentified back &amp; sides The sound samples were recorded with a set of two Beyerdynamic MCE 530 microphones. * * * * * Konzertgitarrenklangsamples: Ein Vergleich verschiedener H\u00f6lzer und Seiten Nachdem ich vor einigen Monaten einen Vergleich der unterschiedlichsten akustischen Gitarrenformen vorgenommen hatte, wollte ich ihn immer noch einmal auf klassische Gitarren beschr\u00e4nkt wiederholen. Am vergangenen Wochenende konnte ich sechs verschiedene klassische (oder spanische) Gitarren mit Nylonsaiten versammeln und einen kleinen Test mit ihnen machen, um ihren Klang zu vergleichen. Drei Gitarren wiesen eine massive Fichtendecke auf, zwei von ihnen eine massive Zederndecke, und eine von ihnen nur eine aus Sperrholz. Das Deckenholz bewirkt einen sp\u00fcrbaren Unterschied, aber auch ihre Zargen und B\u00f6cken (unter anderem laminiertes Mahagoni, Ahorn, Buche und Nussbaum) verm\u00f6gen den Klang ein wenig zu beeinflussen. Die billigste Gitarre im Testfeld ist eine in China hergestellte Niedrig-Budget-Gitarre (~\u20ac50), die \u00fcbrigen sind in Europa (Spanien und Deutschland) hergestellt worden. Didn&#8217;t want to go for the cheapest so went for the looks and price range of this guitar. I arrived with a crack on the back of the head near the headstock but I didn&#8217;t care at first since it was perfectly playable. Decided to send it in for repair a few months later and it came back looking much better. Cannot say anything specific about the sound of a classical guitar but for the times I feel like playing nylon strings, it&#8217;s all I can ask for and at least I can imagine it&#8217;s better than the cheap Yamahas we played in music school as a kid.
