NO editing is done to misrepresent how the featured gear sounds in any way.\"><\/div><\/div><div class=\"lL\" style=\"max-width:100%;width:420px;margin:5px;\"><\/div><\/p>\n<div class='comentarios'>\n<p>Some comments from people who come to the forum about this model:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Comment:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><div class=\"inner text-original js-text-original\" lang=\"en\" data-orig-lang=\"en\"> This arrived in perfect condition and was already setup ready to go, I put some locking tuners on and changed the strings to a gauge I prefer and, well this is such a great guitar. <br \/>It&rsquo;s a nice weight, feels substantial without being an anchor. Necks not too thick, sort of cross between 60s les Paul and an older style tele, quite comfortable in the hand and not fatiguing when playing stuff like bar chords etc. Lovely finish. The colour is much nicer in real life than in the photos, its not so yellow gold, very classy in-fact, hardware is nice, well built, chrome well finished, nut is cut properly, not sure the material but it&rsquo;s not worth changing as it does its job very well. Frets are level, fret ends are well finished, nothing sharp although the fret board was quite dry so worth an oil, (12&rdquo; radius) incidentally I wasn&rsquo;t sure what the walnut board was going to be like and I think it&rsquo;s a surprisingly nice alternative to rosewood, prefer it to pau ferro once its oiled. <br \/>But it&rsquo;s the pickups that I got this Gretsch for, and they are great. sort of modern and old fashion all at the same time so they&rsquo;re sort of doing their own thing and that&rsquo;s really pleasing to the ear. Great for bluesy stuff, great for jazz, great for country great for pub pop tunes, both ballads and quick stuff. Sits in a mix so neatly (especially with single coils) and great live through my Vox-ac30, nice clean and nice overdriven, (although its happier with classic overdrive rather than very hot modern distortion tones, that&rsquo;s just my ears though, I guess it could djent at a push lol). <br \/>The main issue I have now is that I can&rsquo;t find a case it will fit in properly. Its too wide for the normal single-cut cases so for now I&rsquo;ve put it in a semi-hollow case, it&rsquo;s a bit lose but I&rsquo;ve just stuffed some random padding in it and it make do for now <br \/> So that&rsquo;s my recommendation, its not a lot of money for a great axe, defiantly give it a go id say <\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>Comment:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><div class=\"inner text-original js-text-original\" lang=\"en\" data-orig-lang=\"en\"> Well I love this guitar. It simply sounds great, and the finish and detail is perfect. The only problem which stopped it getting full marks was the tuners that wouldn&#8217;t stay in tune and clicked and clanked. I had to replace them (Gotoh SG381-20 Tuners 3L\/3R C &#8211; easy to replace simply unscrew the originals and drop these in &#8211; took 20 mins) and now its fine. It looks and sounds great. Regret it ever since. <\/p>\n<p>I used it to play mainly blues, jazz, some low gain rock. <\/p>\n<p>Nice chunky D shaped neck that plays very comfortably. I only needed to smooth out the fret edges and straighten the truss rod and it played even better than out of the box. <\/p>\n<p>The pickups sound lovely, very much single coil-like, but with some of the roundness of humbuckers. It also has kind of a twang to it, like T-style guitar would have. Generally good for any clean and low-mid gain playing. <\/p>\n<p>The wiring is super easy, I had to change one volume pot that I broke, but it is generally wired like T-style guitar, so no problem changing it. <\/p>\n<p>The only issue I had with it was the tuning &#8211; the tuning sometimes slipped, mostly on G and D strings, but then again, at this price point its expected to have slightly cheaper tuners. I first saw the gold one in a local store and thought it a bit flash for me. But it just sounded so nice, when the jade green launched This year I added it to the basket and checked it out immediately. I previously owned an epiphone les Paul standard and a beginner&#8217;s strat imitation, the strat lacked growl and the les Paul was missing some depth. As always the packaging and shipping from thomann was perfect and prompt. <br \/>On first opening the package it was the beauty of the finish that initially struck me. The natural wood on the rear is gorgeous. Upon plugging it in the volume, depth and sustain from the clean channel was impeccable. With some overdrive it roars into life. There is a bit of bleed between the pickups which seems to enhance rather than detract. <br \/>Overall, it&#8217;s a great size, has huge tonal flexibility, stays in tune, is solidly built and just cries out to be played. Since my budget was really tight, I couldn&#8217;t really ask for more, but man, did I get a whole lot more! <\/p>\n<p>This is surely one of the best guitars I&#8217;ve ever played, let alone bought. Does &quot;the Gretsch sound&quot; like a pro, but can still tear it up like a certain &quot;Les-something&quot;. In this price range you usually go fo Squier or Epiphone when looking at classic stuff, but Gretsch has really surprised me in the best way. I play some experimental stuff, mixed up with blues, rockabilly and country, and it&#8217;s perfect! <\/p>\n<p>Of course, it doesn&#8217;t play as smoothly as my old American Standard Fender Tele, but it&#8217;s still pretty darned sweet to play it, and it certainly looks the part! <\/p>\n<p>So, basically, <\/p>\n<p>Pros: Sounds great, plays really well, looks awesome <\/p>\n<p>Cons: Some minor cosmetic dings, probably due to it being an under-500-bucks instrument. And even still, unless you take a magnifying glass to it, there&#8217;s no way you&#8217;ll feel like it&#8217;s a cheaper guitar. <\/p>\n<p>10\/10 would buy again <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>Comment:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><div class=\"inner text-original js-text-original\" lang=\"en\" data-orig-lang=\"en\"> First of all The Thomann team and the experience they provided was outstanding. From the second they approved the purchase i was in the loop of were my guitar was and so on . The UPS service was very welcome and it was for free!!! It took 5 days for the guitar to come to Bulgaria witch i though would be a 30 day wait really &#8230; The guitar even came almost in tune well packaged. <br \/>Now on the guitar it self. <br \/>Sounds like it should !!! Witch is versatile and just an easy overall instrument to play.
