I am very impressed with it. I&#8217;ve only played a few electric guitars before, but this definitely feels more expensive than it is. The edges of the frets are smooth so nothing to catch my fingers on. <br \/>The controls are simple with just a volume and tone knob. I would say this is beneficial for a beginner. <br \/>The tone of the guitar is excellent. A friend said &quot;it&#8217;s definitely an SG.&quot; I agree with him, it&#8217;s a very authentic tone. <br \/>I changed the strings without even trying the ones the guitar came with, more out of personal preference than anything else. <br \/>Overall I&#8217;m very satisfied with my purchase. First off, the decision was made to revive the old Kalamazoo-Styled Headstock. This brought the return of a more traditional open-book headstock to replace the old &quot;clipped ears&quot; style that epiphone has been using for over 30 years. While this one might not be perfect either in everyone&#039;s eyes, it definitely takes epiphone back to its own historical roots and gave something for us to talk about at NAMM.
