Built with the performer in mind, the P5DC features Takamine&#039;s proprietary CTP-3 Cool Tube\u2122 preamp system paired with the unique Palathetic\u2122 under-saddle pickup for peerless amplified response. The dual-channel CTP-3 provides low-voltage tube tone, variable from bright and brilliant to thick and warm, three-band EQ with semi-parametric midrange, auxiliary input and volume (for use when a second pickup is added), and an onboard chromatic tuner. This is the kind of guitar that you enjoy playing on stage and give it a name. There is a reason the pros like this guitar and shell out the money to get the right sound. If you want to look and sound like the professional artists, then get their tools. It&rsquo;s as simple as that. Tools and talent is the right winning combination for success and I absolutely love this guitar. Right from the start this guitar has been admired and praised by all my guitar playing friends. I use the instrument principally for unplugged acoustic sessions with friends. It is a beautiful instrument, with excellent design, workmanship, finish, and sound. The onboard tuner is a great feature, and the CoolTube amp is top class. It is a heavy instrument, and I understand this is due to the CoolTube electronics on board. This is however a small criticism and is more than compensated for by all the positives with this instrument.
