Moreover, if you are a beginner this is perfect, because there are not a lot of buttons unneeded, so making your setup should not be hard. However, if you are pro, you should consider saving up more money and buying something with more features, unless you already have a full pedalboard. <\/p>\n<p>pros; <br \/>&#8211; really easy to use <br \/>&#8211; 2 channels <br \/>&#8211; it has a tap button for the FX (effects) so that you can change the effect the way you want to <br \/>&#8211; sound great, I don&#8217;t see any problem <br \/>&#8211; for 40W its volume is too big, I mean at first I thought it&#8217;s gonna be a quiet amp, and that&#8217;s why I was looking at a 100W one, but it shocked me to see that it has such a big volume and resonance for such a little amp <\/p>\n<p>cons; <br \/>&#8211; it has some effects, but they are not great, so you should still look at some pedals (nevertheless, for beginners it&#8217;s still pretty great) <br \/>&#8230; and that&#8217;s it. Frankly, I cannot find too many cons for this amp. <\/p>\n<p>Per overall, it is a great amp, for beginners, and for pro, as long as you have a pedalboard. <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>Comment:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><div class=\"inner text-original js-text-original\" lang=\"en\" data-orig-lang=\"en\"> Using for practice home and with folk. <\/p>\n<p>This amp has great clean sound, and very decent overdrive, vib and reverb effects. <\/p>\n<p>Includes an aux-in so one can easily plug into a phone\/pc and play with a backing track. <\/p>\n<p>Clean channel is crisp enough, and clear &#8211; includes a treble and bass control, so there&#8217;s flexibility in altering the tone to one&#8217;s contempt. Can range from crisp clear, to fat and bluesy without much effort. <\/p>\n<p>Works amazing when paired with something like BluesBreaker pedal. <\/p>\n<p>Gets loud enough to cover a band in practice\/small venue. <\/p>\n<p>Definitely recommend if searching for great cleans and\/or blues sound. <\/p>\n<p>Pros: <br \/>&#8211; Amazing clean channel <br \/>&#8211; Good reverb, vibrato and overdrive(particularly metal and brit rock voice) <br \/>&#8211; Celestion speaker <br \/>&#8211; 40W output &#8211; gets loud enough to cover practice band or small venue <br \/>&#8211; Aux in for backing track play &#8211; simple and just works <br \/>&#8211; Light enough to not bee too much of a burden <br \/>&#8211; Great range of tones <\/p>\n<p>Cons: <br \/>&#8211; Outside of the effects mentioned in ^^, the rest are meh <br \/>&#8211; Aux-in volume control MUST be done from the playback device &#8211; amp has no control over that &#8211; BE WARNED &#8211; if you blast your phone full volume through aux, its deafening &#8211; lower volume first before plugging in. The Boss Katana range has absolutely been blowing minds with how good it sounds, and I could not agree more. I was shocked when I found out how cheap this amp was, I would have killed for something this amazing when I was starting out. You can set it to as low as 0.5W for quiet bedroom practice and then crank it to 50W if you&#039;re playing in a live setting. I&#039;d say the only thing I&#039;d want to see as an improvement is a smartphone app like the Boss Katana Air. Unfortunately to really fine tune FX you need to use the Boss Tone Studio which currently only works on PC and Mac. At this price point though, I&#039;m not complaining. The tone quality is the main thing at the end of the day and the Katana range knocks it out of the Ball park. Enjoy!
