Apart from having clean sound (Clean\/Crunch-Green-mode), it is typical Marshall and ranges from quaint plexi sounds to modern high-gain. Another sound is a very untypical &#8220;american&#8221; clean sound, that other britons rarely elicit and sounds really good.<\/p>\n<p>Theory of colours: The Clean\/ Crunch channel provides 3 variations &#8211; green, orange and red (we know it from other Marshall ucts, right?). At orange it is already plexi-style, at red it will go already in the crunchy 80&#8217;s sounds).<\/p>\n<p>In the lead channel it goes on like this &#8211; gain in all dimensions &#8211; no muffling but the typical biting sound; moreover more tame creamy sound can be conjured at will. Also a programmable 4-way foot switch, which can be used to control all switching functions, is included.<\/p>\n<p>Considering sound parameters, the JVM205, in the combo version with two 12-inch speakers, is located between a compact (also in sound parameters) 1x 12-inch combo and the inevitable 4x 12-inch version. To whom one speaker may sound too hollow and a 4x 12&#8243; too brutal, gets the &#8220;best of both worlds&#8221; here! Surprisingly, though hordes of players have long been willing to pay a lot for 50-year-old handwired DRs (unmodified blackfaces in good condition go for upwards of &#36;2,500, while silverfaces go for &#36;1,300 and up), Fender itself hadn\u2019t offered a handwired Deluxe Reverb for more than 35 years\u2014until this past summer\u2019s unveiling of the \u201964 Custom Deluxe Reverb. The \u201964 CDR boasts many of the qualities that make vintage DRs so desirable, not least of which are a completely handwired circuit with Mylar-and-tinfoil Astron tone capacitors (just like the originals), and a solid pine cabinet (verses the Reissue series\u2019 birch plywood housings). Tweaks to the original recipe range from the cool but sonically inconsequential (heavier-than-normal vinyl covering, reverb-tank cabling with woven metal sheathing) to those that greatly expand the platform\u2019s utility.
