I had a little katana mini which was OK but didn&#8217;t have much output and I wanted a little practice amp to sit under a coffee table and yet looked good. <\/p>\n<p>First of all the looks. Whenever anyone sees it they immediately comment on it&#8217;s 50&#8217;s styling and how the blue dial was perfect. <\/p>\n<p>But, most importantly, the sound. Some of the amps are a little too rocky for me, I play Jazz\/ blues but overall for a practice amp I have zero complaints. It&#8217;s really there to replace a Yamaha THR which was ok, a pain as it always suffer from a buzz caused by a short and I&#8217;m actually more of a fan of this Mooer and it&#8217;s sounds. There&#8217;s options for pretty much anything I want to play. <\/p>\n<p>Our Bass player plugged in his Warwick and was impressed, it&#8217;s a versatile piece of kit. Not enough low end for him to gig with but he was happy enough. I guess that&#8217;s a good compliment. <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>Comment:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><div class=\"inner text-original js-text-original\" lang=\"en\" data-orig-lang=\"en\"> I&#8217;ve bought this combo for my nephew. He only starts playing guitar, but he wants to sound as a megastar! And my sister wants to live in peace and quiet. Dilemma \ud83d\ude42 <br \/>Here is where Mooer Hornet comes in. Cool, stylish, has everything that kid and his mom expects from it. Thank you Mooer, one happy family fed \ud83d\ude42 <\/p>\n<p>I have tried many small combos from &quot;classic&quot; brands for home use, and was disappointment with their sound, features and look.. This is the best choice for hobbyists on my opinion. Modeling amp is a modelling amp. Just don&#8217;t expect it to be a replacement of a real tube amp on staage, and you will be happy. <br \/>A lot of amps emulated, not just clean and overdrive. Check out this month&#039;s free Issue at www.guitarinteractivemagazine.com\"><\/div><\/div><div class=\"lL\" style=\"max-width:100%;width:420px;margin:5px;\"><\/div><\/p>\n<div class='comentarios'>\n<p>Some comments from people who come to the forum about this model:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Comment:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><div class=\"inner text-original js-text-original\" lang=\"en\" data-orig-lang=\"en\"> The Good. <br \/>Sounds BIG, like there&#8217;s a real amp in the room. <br \/>Feels VERY solid and well made (knobs, handle, everything) <br \/>Probably loud enough for any situation (small rehearsal without PA, any gig with PA as monitor, small bar gig without PA) <br \/>Super easy to understand and use, there is a reason they do not provide a printed manual (although I wish they did). <br \/>Bluetooth, drum machine and looper: great tools for practice (these were the main selling points for me) <br \/>Wireless 4 button footswitch included (!). <br \/>All features are accessible from the amp&#8217;s control panel, no need to connect your phone or computer. <\/p>\n<p>The Bad. <br \/>Amp models sound a bit cold sometimes, it lacks the feel of a tube amp (obviously it isn&#8217;t one, but lacks the feel more so than other modelers I think) <br \/>Although the models are much more accurate than my previous practice amp (Vox VTX) there&#8217;s something missing in how they feel. <br \/>No amp cab options, they are fixed for each amp model. <br \/>Amp models are a curious selection, not everyone&#8217;s cup of tea. There are enough high gain models, probably enough clean ones too. However not much going on in between. <br \/>I think the only marshall modeled is the JCM 900. <br \/>The footswitch has 4 led&#8217;s, one on top of each switch. However you can have them either all light up at the same time, or off. It is weird that it doesn&#8217;t light up based on which switch you have pressed. You can only know which preset you are on by looking at the amp. <\/p>\n<p>Effects <br \/>Decent reverbs, modulations. <br \/>Great tape delay. <br \/>Good sounding boost pedals (TS, blues driver) <\/p>\n<p>I hope this helps someone looking for a modeling amp! <\/p>\n<p>I intend to use it mostly for home\/practice, and once in a while for rehearsal at a friend&#8217;s home studio. <br \/>Maybe also for a small bar gig where stage space is too limited to have amp + pedals. <\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>Comment:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><div class=\"inner text-original js-text-original\" lang=\"en\" data-orig-lang=\"en\"> This amp is brilliant!
