Build quality is top notch and the versatility is just amazing. You can play from the most hot licks using the bridge pickup to a perfect classic single coil sound in the neck (and all the possibilities in between )
Regarding the neck, I would consider it a thin neck, but not too thin to be uncomfortable. Quite comfy no matter if you are chording or soloing.
I consider the Standard model of Suhr their flagship, being just in the middle of the classic and the modern approach. A guitar for almost every type of music and player, that you can rely on.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS
Your first impression (if you are not familiar with Suhr Guitars) may be that you have been sent a fretless instrument due to the black sheer plastic fret protector which sits under the strings and runs the length of the neck. A very caring and nice idea too.
After hauling Les Pauls and heavier Strats around for years this guitar is surprisingly light weighing only 2.9 kilos and is beautifully balanced.
SOUND
Similar to the usual 5 way Strat tones we are all accustomed to hearing.
Definitely cuts through the mix.
Unlike the standard tone control found on most strats which very quickly dials the treble completely out, this tone control is exceptional in that it reduces gradually, eventually leading you to a warm jazzy George Benson type sound.
The volume control complete with treble bleed is also helpful in that reducing volume does not reduce treble.
FINAL THOUGHTS
For an individual sound along the lines of a lightweight customized hum free stratocaster capable of powerful hard rock tones with the added tonal possibilities to sound like a semi acoustic jazz guitar, the Suhr Modern Pro Satin is a superb and versatile instrument.
The Gotoh Tremelo bridge, as with all Gotoh parts, is also excellent.
The Suhr locking tuners are first class and are thankfully not too heavy which has often been the case with other guitars causing partial neck dive.
It comes with a Suhr soft case, probably very suitable for Californian weather but here in Europe especially for winter gigs and also considering the high price of the guitar and its’ lightweight construction, a hard case would have been preferable.
