Comment:

The 50PF is Hanika’s basic, all-solid wood spruce/rosewood model. The workmanship is first-class, the sound is quite good. I find the playability of the ‘D-1’ neck on the 2016 models a bit easier to manage than on my 2007 54PC. It is very basic, though. The finish on the wood leaves a bit of a rough texture of the actual wood, and the wood quality is ‘basic.’ The ebony fretboard isn’t really polished, and is not as easy to move on as my 54PC. The only issue concerning the 50PF that was sent to me was sharp fret ends, but this isn’t the fault of Hanika.

The guitar does not come with a gigbag, so you will have to factor in the cost of one, or of a case.

My recommendation would be: for a classical guitar in the +/- ¤1,000 range, to invest a little more and go for the 54PF, which is what I did. It is only around ¤200 more, and it is a superior guitar, worth the extra money. I sent the 50PF back, and yesterday received the 54PF, which I will review as soon as possible.
