if you are a fan of classic synth pop such as for instance Gary Numan, Depeche Mode, The Human League or Kraftwerk, this synth is great! It has both the sound and aesthetics of classic vintage synthesizers through the 1970’s.
But I have experienced Orbital utilize it in more recent production.

Pros:
– exemplary sound
– exceptional appearance
– exceptional feel
– sturdy
– 100% analog FM synthesis capabilities
– Basically an ARP 2600 in a smaller kind.
– CV inputs & outputs for modular
– Nice vinyl hardcase

Cons:
– You need to tune it yourself (with Guitar tuner or ‘Tuner’ built into Ableton reside)
– Tuning can drift after a few hours. But this really is vintage that is authentic.
– Can’t control many parameters via MIDI CC. (See notes below)

Notes: It can simply receive MIDI notes. No velocity, no none and aftertouch associated with parameters are MIDI assignable. Nonetheless, it does have CV in and outs, which work great with modular gear.

Mine don’t include a UK power adapter out from the field (just EU power adapter), but Thomann provided one for free a short while later.

Comment:

I considered buying this synth for a few days. Watched some videos and ended up being pretty sure I would perhaps enjoy it even think it’s great Then I chose to do so because I had the cash. And today I have this synth that is wonderful. I love playing it and I can maybe not remember such a thing I don?t like about it. Now it?s want it was always element of my studio.
Luckily I made a decision to additionally get the Moog EP-3 Expression Pedal and it makes playing the Odyssey a lot more fun.
I realize that some people don?t like mini-keys, but for me personally it?s better yet like this since my hands are small.
It?s good it comes with some sound meals, they have been a good kick off point, but it?s additionally good to test out this synth and work out some sound. For me personally it?s one thing for everyone with regards to making sounds and it even comes with an instance 🙂
