I mean even when I ended up being just to emphasize one touch of this amazing piece of equipment….the sequencer. It is just amazing and so responsive. What else is good? Pretty much everything…..the plug outs are all just right and really feel it generates a very great vocoder too as you have actually a Jupiter 8 or Juno….The entire thing is built really well and. Just go purchase one. Most readily useful mortgage I ever took out…I do not mind paying this infant right back for a couple of years….100% worth every penny. I am in synth heaven. Thanks Thomann…. I shall be back for lots more.

Comment:

Firstly, I will prefix this review by stating that I don’t purchase this synth in order to get the Jupiter-8 and Juno-106 plugouts while they’re not really my cup tea, but, these are typically very well implemented in the System-8 and sound great.

I just make use of the System-8’s native motor as I believe it appears really lovely. It is very versatile sonically and producing noises with a knob-per-function screen is a joy that is true. There are lots of filter kinds (18 at time of writing) and lots of oscillator forms – including one called "FM" which can be really handy.

Many people complain so it just has one LFO but this is not a limitation at all because such as the Korg Minilogue, it’s a 4-lane movement sequencer – except regarding the System-8 it offers 64 actions which means you can "record" all types of motions into your noises and play right back those movements for every single key stroke. This allows one to totally shape a sound to your liking in an intuitive means by "playing" the controls while you record them in the place of having to "program" those modifications with a complex modulation matrix etc.

The other benefit is the fact that it can output audio via USB at 96kHz along with the MIDI to ensure that saves a channel of your audio interface too!

All in every, it is an incredible synth. The actual only real downside to some is there is absolutely no aftertouch in the keyboard, but that does not myself bother me.

I would definitely buy this synth once more if such a thing happened to mine. Strongly suggested.

This itty-bitty little keyboard seems like something you?d give a kid to understand a little bit of music.

However..

This small-form keyboard is a full-fledged 4-part Synth+ Rythm-machine!

It is ab-so-lutely amazing just how much functionality Roland crammed in it petite housing. 3 full-on Integra like synths, 1 analog synth that is monophonic sub-occillator with a lot of creamy filters, ànd.. as cherry regarding the cake, about EVERY classic Roland drumcomputer as examples (which can be filtered and mauled to Your heart?s content..in real-time..) simply because ?they could?

Only disadvantage would be the tiiiny keys (with velocity sensitiveness !) but, attach a Midi-keyboard with full-sized keys, and it starts to réally shine.

Important: Download the most recent patches and firmware. It adds much broader functionality to your sequencer and drums.

take note, though. To be honest completely intended for Dance in every it?s iterations with basses and drums that produce Your woofers cry for mercy and tweeters scream in agony. No violins, or endless saxes, guitars or traditional organs, just invaluable ( fully editable) seems for around virtually any dance/hardcore( a fantastic overdrive, fuzz and digitizer on-board) LOVE it!
Combined with a tremendously comprehensible sequencer, You?ll make Your hard-house or your Wub-wub track in no-time quick. But it also excels at weird swooshy, dreamy ambient material.

with this price a no-brainer for anyone dabbling in contemporary dance-styles.

Comment:

For those who have a homestudio or play the guitar and require a little synth this will be your decision. It is a workstation that is full little and powerfull. On it you may get some actually crazy noises, with fuzz + flanger + stereo delay + reverb if you plug your guitar. The sounds are Roland fundamental collection that is contemporary but a lot of them. It isn’t a keyboard for a person who desires a crystal piano that is obvious clarinet though. It is for jam in an electro mood.

I bought a Juno DS recently and I have to say it’s a whole lot for the money.
As well to be lightweight ( 5.5 Kg ) it packs plenty of punch!
16 part, multitimbral synth with a pleasant key bed.
Based on the FA, it has really deep editing. 4 tones/stereo waveforms per spot that can be separately routed through the effects ( up to three insert MFX and two effects being send simultaneously ).
Over 70 different FX kinds, including vocoda. Committed split vocal pitch correction & reverb/delay for mic input.
The insert effects can be connected in either series, parallel or a mixture of both ( The FA allows only one insert per spot! ).
User test playback center lets you keep up to 32 Mb of data and playback through the filters, envelopes and effects. ( The FA is not this versatile ).
It sounds warm & fat and you will download 1 expansion pack clear of Roland AXIAL.
( they’ve been good! )
It would’ve been nice to see some page/parameter copy functions.
Unfortunately, the NUMERIC key just acts to choose patches/performances and can not work in patch/perform edit!

Overall, unbeatable at this price!

A very capable synth from Roland packed full of good features. Prior to the FA-06 was launched I had been torn between a blown that is full G6 or the greater performance concentrated v-Synth GT nevertheless the FA-06 with it’s rich feature set and relatively good deal had been a success.

My only gripe with the FA-06 may be the control layout as I believe it is restrictive for real time expressive performance. Perhaps the addition of an external MIDI controller might free the potential of the noise engine but that’s kept to be see.

Recommended purchase.

Comment:

I have a large collection of electronic synth keyboards and modules (From most of the big Japan, Amarican and German brands), and also utilize some software and equipment samplers. Composing in my in house studio and playing keyboards which are real time two rock/metal bands.
My old keyboards were overweight to carry in a normal way, as well as in situation of a live concert I had to just take a lot of equipment on phase, maybe not mentioning the installation and "uninstallation" after the concert. Numerous groups could accomodate just one stereo line from my tips, so within the past I additionally had to transport personal mixer in addition….

I wanted a keyboard with all the after parameters:
– large soundbank
– expandable sounds
– built in sampler
– sequencer
– portable
– SD card storage space

Roland FA-06 had been a good choice. Its certainly lightweight, and I have no longer to fuss with floppy disks.
Many thanks to your onboard sampler – I can sample my studio synthesizers / VA / VST instruments, and introduce all of the special impacts and soudns through the FA-06.

therefore my true advantage that when I journey to concert or to a rehearsal with my musical organization, I really need just this keyboard to transport, that is my all-in-one solution.

Ah’ the sound engine: I perform very different musical designs: my very own compositions are mainly electronica / ambient. In the rock / steel bands we perform rock/metal covers and also compose our tracks which are own. FA-06 could be effortlessly adopted to seem environment.

Bought a JUNO-DS88 because I wanted an 88 weighted-key instrument that was additionally transportable and simple to utilize for gigs here & here. I had currently owned other keyboards before by YAMAHA Korg etc, and additionally they had been all great, BUT, the DS88 had such a unique set of features, I would give it a try that I thought.
Transportation – thinking about the size associated with the keyboard – is fantastic. Vast collection of sounds. I think that the piano noises are some of the best within the continuing business, specially taking into consideration the cost of it!

This keyboard unique because of the the addition of a microphone including adding impacts, so you can effortlessly plug in a microphone right into the keyboard in the straight back. Control section on the side that is kept of keyboard facilitates varying associated with parameters while doing. This part also has a couple of sliders making it fast and easy to regulate blends of upper and reduced tones for splits, dual overlays, etc. Pitch-Bender can be great. Had this on my Korg workstation and also this was an added bonus to my brand new DS88; like it.

All in every, great keyboard, a great deal fun so many opportunities!

Comment:

Typical Roland quality.
Robust, dependable and authentic.
Quite much beast due to the weighted tips.
I make use of it mainly for piano also it appears great but it has a lot of great inbuilt noises and a lot of nice adjustable parameters generate your palette.
Very happy and all sorts of the piano students I work with like the feel and the reaction.
Highly suggested.

this is actually the most useful keytar I purchased. Exceptional tones.. Great ergonomics.. Some cons are that I would say is the fact that USB player plays just 48 tracks which are bit. You need to convert most of the songs to 48 Bit. Only Ni NH batteries can be utilized. Needed an alternative to use lithium or alkaline additionally. The adapter cable could have been a bit longer. But each one of these are petty problems. The caliber of AX Edge beats them all.. Go because of it..

Comment:

I utilize this keytar mostly for live performances and quite often for recording. It fits my requirements for playing with backing tracks as a one guy show. The thing that is just would hope is a rechargeable battery pack rather than standard battery compartment making it wireless more easily.

What an excellent little synth, it arrived today and I,m still playing with it. I have actuallyn’t had so fun that is much pleasure in years with a synth and I,ve been playing since I got my very first synth a Korg Poly 800 in 1984 and I’ve many keyboards ever since then.

The instant playability is amazing and it’s such a liberating experience to not have pages of menus to undergo in order to alter one thing. All the environment that is major at hand on a button Or a slider. All of the 64 presets have become good and actually have the innovative juice moving and you 64 locations on your own sounds too.

Pros
Great big fat sound
Easy to use
Small and light
Has effects
Has expression looper
Appegiator
64 note poly
Great price by Thomann

Cons
None if you accept this for what it’s
It’s not a Pure analog synth
It’s Digital, So what, you have lots of fun with this and it is inspiring in unique small method and there is very little around in this cost bracket that may match the features and playability of this little baby.

Just buy one.

Comment:

this is certainly a great virtual-analog synth!!
This is not a "nice toy" (like a reviewer composed here) but a significant old-fashioned synth! You might in contrast to this synth, however if you would like to learn to plan a synth without any hidden screen menus (like the trusted old fashioned times) and be able to make almost every sound you imagine, in a clear-visible means, then try this synth if you should be used to contemporary screen-menu diving based synths with hunderds factory-ready presets and no need to design your very own presets! Maybe it’s for you!

I have already some modern synths (with deep menu scuba diving screens, etc) but Gaia is truly unique!! I guess it may be my personal favorite synth!!

Pros:
Amazing old-school user interface & sounds!
Triple-stacked engine (like 3 synths in a single!)
Hands-on control with logically arranged knobs, sliders, and buttons!
High-performance value!
Nice price (from Thomann!)

Cons:
the sole con (for me) is I want to see a little screen, simply to name-organize my presets-sounds, but as a result of the nature of Gaia (old-school synth) I comprehend it!

All in all, highly recommended, if you like old-school synths with no menu diving!!
