Comment:

I’m using the controller as my primary composing device along with Cubase and Garage Band. I bought small one (M32 variation) because it has an inferior form factor, completely fitting on my desk, but nonetheless has a amount that is decent of. (A bit more than two octaves)
I had been surprised how good you are able to use the small keys, it is nearly ideal for me personally, since my fingers are not that long.
The build quality is pretty decent and also the keyboard feels good and sturdy. Unfortuitously my product does not stay level on the desk, meaning it somewhat wiggles a little. It does not disrupt the feel playing it therefore it is fine.
You also get quite a quantity of pc software with the keyboard. I’d used the Komplete Kontrol software already, since I’d bought two plugins from Native Instruments within the past and I love their products because they are programmed because of the individual at heart and can be utilized quite intuitively.
The free sounds and instruments that include it are quite decent if you just want to begin making music. Remember, that the delivered sounds tend to be more fitting for artists within the electro/synth genres. You also get a light form of Maschine 2. I don’t test it however.
Since I’m creating orchestral music, I did not utilize many of the delivered plugins but alternatively the plugins I’d purchase in a few of their purchase offers. It is easy to install every thing, and also as soon while you load Komplete Kontrol into a track, you are ready to go. I recommend to see the quick begin guide located on the Native Instruments Homepage along with to watch some videos on Youtube, along with it quite faster once you learn some tricks as you can work. No matter if it is quite intuitive to use most of the time, there are functions and workflows you can’t learn by learning from mistakes.
to make use of many of the features like scale, arp and parameter mapping, you should employ their plugin Komplete Kontrol. But this plugin allows you to add other plugins maybe not formally supported by NKS (I guess every VST plugin) but it’s not as straight forward once the supported plugins.

All in every its a good keyboard, particularly for beginners. This has good features compared to its cost, you have to consider, that its meant as a hardware item to be used with Native Instruments software.

Comment:

I suggest this MIDI keyboard if you work with Ableton Live 10 or above. The M32 is very easy to create and is sold with an TON that is absolute of FREE software.

The plugins it comes down with are part of the Native Instruments library and really I do find myself using them in my productions.

Build quality is great. Key travel is not massive yet still enough to offer a sense that is great whenever you are playing records.

Looks great also and you can fundamentally get a handle on Ableton out of this without really pressing your mouse. You are able to skip during your arrangement view, play & stop, record in and change channel volumes all from the buttons on this controller that is MIDI.

I purchased this piano after comparing all 61 keys midi controllers, and also this seems to be the main one with the most useful integration in Studio One.

Best:
the nice point are the keys and seamless integration along with Komplete services and products I have. It reminds me personally the sensation of a piano that is real it’s no so plasticky and appears like reasonably limited product. Another point that is good all transport buttons it has, helpful for DAW and also for the Komplete Kontrol plugin. I can get a grip on some features which are fundamental Studio One that will be what I wanted. Additionally, I need no mapping at all, I love plug and play things without messing around with setup files and so on 🙂

Cons:
It’s quite heavy and cumbersome, so you require lots of space because of it. The sound that is clicking the buttons is really noisy, actually. The small display is advantageous however it must be at the least bigger or similar to the layout of this S show MK1.
No aftertouch, which in 2019 is a standard in this kind of equipment.
I think this sort of devices can have more controls, since it has two big empty frames for each side, nonetheless it happens exactly the same with the S show.

In sum, with this cost it’s a reasonable piano that can do the majority of that I require, so I’m satisfied with it and I wish it lasts a lot of years.

This controller ended up being precisely what I thought it will be, AMAZING! Very plug that is easy play perhaps not messing around controller by Native Instruments they really nailed it with this specific it comes with Komplete 10 which is more than enough to start making some noises. It works well with Logic, Ableton, and Pro Tools. Its durable which I love (It doesn’t feel inexpensive), the tips are responsive and tend to be sensitive therefore can provide you velocities which can be different records. The displays are a big assistance and give a nice feeling you are able to modify via the knobs while you need not look to your DAW for many editing and using the mixer cause. Transport buttons satisfying and beautiful to press. I am still obtaining the hang of it and certainly will have to revise my review in per year or two whenever I has taken the most juice from it 😉 Great purchase I’m really satisfied with it.

I’m applying this keyboard with Ableton Live and NI’s Komplete Ultimate and also the experience is extremely various between those two.

I’d focus on stating that this keyboard has an amazing appearance & feel. The tips are exemplary and very pleasant to touch, the aftertouch feels just right. Modwheel is solid therefore the touch stripe is handy and unobtrusive for a number of orchestral usage instances. The displays enable you to do a chunk that is great of without reaching for the mouse. The only real hardware problem is that encoders have become close to each other if you have big fingers you’ll have to be mindful.

Now, most of the magic is contained within NI’s own instruments. If you’re a heavy used of Reaktor and Kontakt you’d feel at home. The keyboard has a few additional buttons for Maschine too however it doesn’t come with a software so those would stay unused (which is unfortunate given I’d love some more buttons for ableton integration).

Once you leave the NI world ? e.g. to use your DAWs instruments that are built-inNI is massive et al but I like my Ableton’s synths) the keyboard modifications. It nevertheless retains the DAW that is basic navigation but now it’s a VERY DUMB midi controller. No chords secret, no arp, everything is included inside the NI toolset (which can be sad provided just how good the arp that is integrated). You’re left with eight encoders additionally the piano strip.

with that said: it’s 10/10 for NIs toolset (unsurprisingly). The guide that is LED the tool picker ? everything is smooth and polished to let you focus on the music.

As soon as you are back again to your DAW it’s 6/10. It is not too bad ? e.g. you certainly can do arp with ableton and you can load your other VSTs inside the KK’s tool so they would avail associated with the extended feature set. It’s just that the keyboard does not anymore feel as capable. Low-level Novation instruments would easily beat it with regards to raw midi capabilities.

Bottom line: worth the funds if you’re greatly investing into NI instruments too.

Hey. I bought it half a ago year. S61 it just for training on the piano making use of Cubase MK2 I use. My first MIDI keyboard=)

Looks very decent. high-quality plastic coated with matte paint that is black colored the buttons regarding the control panel have become pleasant to the touch, while having a backlight that doesn’t strike the attention. Work responsive.
Knobs nice and extremely accurately work when setting any parameters or recording automation, as well as when you touch them from above(have sensors) – show other parameters.
2 display on which all demonstrably visible, you are able to configure the brightness, when setting to 100per cent they’ve been extremely bright=)
Komplete Kontrol the provides a lot of content to generate music – personally, I really like "a Gentleman" and "Massive".
Keys with aftertouch – the possibility offers to creativity of ideas=) the secrets of very nice material very quiet and also a pleasing sound once you push on or perhaps touch.
LED GUIDE is a very good feature.
For six months I have actually 2 times updated the firmware MIDI keyboard. and also often head out on bug fixes any products from Native Instuments.
Recommend!

My first MIDI keyboard – which I enjoy.

For the purchase price, it is a fantastic item. Yes it is plastic all over, nevertheless the create continues to be quite sturdy. There’s nothing end that is high it needless to say. Nevertheless the keys and knobs have a feel that is nice them, and I find playing onto it a pleasure. The display that is small it a little bit difficult to navigate the settings regarding the keyboard. Although that is not actually a challenge because I would rather use the computer to manage the keyboard, and never one other method around for me personally. The real strong point of this product could be the software compatibility, and simple of good use.
