Comment:

After some extensive research on acoustic guitars in this price range I decided to buy the Guild D240E Westerly Archback. I play for some time now and needed a guitar that can be used in small to medium rooms and would have good sound quality, which I expected from this guitar. At first glance it has a nice, warm tone, warmer than one would expect from a spruce top guitar, probably provided by the archback design.
For:
The build quality, overall look, balanced clear sound and a premium Guild gigbag included make this guitar a very competetive product for the money.
Against:
The one thing against it is when you plug it in, compared to similar models of other manufacturers the sound output is lower, on the other hand the sound stays clear and warm without the common interferences one would expect with higher volume settings.
Personally I am very happy with what I got as the guitar exceeded my expectations.

Comment:

Since there is not much reviews on this instrument, i decided to write short one here. I am not going to talk much about features, just my general opinion.
To start, guitar came set up nicely, old strings, but other than that is great. Gig-bag it came with is decent and if you dont plan to buy hardcase, it will be enough.
As for sound, solid sitka spruce top, use a pick and its pounchy with excelent highes. When you play with fingers(what i usually do) guitar is really smooth with well defined low and mid, aswell as highs.
Overall, it exceeded my expectations, sound is great, smooth feel in hands while you play it.
