Up to now I had blackstar ht1r , randall rd1c, blackstar ht metal 1, orange dark terror, roland micro cube. I must say that although there is a pressurising tube amp hype all around the globe I find digital modelling amps quite useful, very good sounding, inspiring and easy to use. We also should remember that many pro guys also use digital preamps instead of tube amps. I am extremely happy with the Cube series, especially the rectifier sound it is useful and good sounding both on solos and chunky rhytm playing. I dont know if it is natural or not. I tried at home blackstar ht series, randall rd1 and the dark terror. I still like the cube 10 gx and dont think to sell it. All cube series are very good amps. One thing I think this amp lacks is the option to have rest of the cosm sounds. You cant install ‘extreme’ or ‘dyna amp’ models to it? Why is that roland. Even the micro cube has the extreme model.

Comment:

This modelling amp is a real surprise:
From nice clean sounds to beefy distorted ones…

It has 3 presets which come from factory as Clean, Crunch and Heavy. You can also program in lots of other sounds using an audio cable (guitar cable will work with the adapter that comes with the amp), and the APP on your phone.
The Rectifier is great for metal sounds.

It has headphone out jack which I use to record via PC, and Line in which is good for playing along to your favorite songs.

Also the amp has built in effects accessed from a dial. These are good but you can only use one at a time.

All in all a great sounding and compact amp – great for practicing as well as experimenting with different tones.
