I result from a Prophet REV2 (8-voice), which I liked really, but the OB-6 is definitely on a different degree. The REV2 featured warm, analog sign but a quite cool and electronic software with an OLED tiny display, which can be fine if one is searching for a very versatile and manufacturing device that is capable. However for playing live and experimenting, well… the OB-6 ‘feels’ like a analog that is genuine also into the interface and playability. Less knobs, less voices, less modulation possibilities, good digits that are old programs (no silly names) but what a SOUND! The tone feels full, creamy and musical in almost every configuration/modulation. Amazing filter. Great factory programs. Great design, great size. In one term: a synth that is very good. If you’re searching for a instrument that is definitive select this 1 or the Prophet 6… or both! Mine arrived with a slightly scratched key that is blackprobably it came out of the factory like this). It generally does not bother me personally much because it’s only visible whenever looking extremely closely, but I wish Sequential were a little more careful for a instrument that is top-class this budget range. Aside from this, completely perfect solution from Thomann, quick distribution!

Comment:

I own the prophet 6, and I just got my OB-6 a couple weeks ago. Both are superb.

How to explain the OB-6? Compared to the P-6, the OB-6 1) has an even more classic sound (simply a tad though), 2) has a more&quot that is gritty; sound on top end, 3) is a bit brighter.

that is better? They truly are equal. Just is dependent on what you want to complete.
