Some comments from people who come to the forum about this model:
Comment:
– Warm analogue noise, but stable tuning
– at the very least two various layered noises at the same time
– Highly flexible filter architecture
– Studio-quality impacts that can be recalled as part of presets
– A modern UI for naming patches and accessing details
– Lots of knobs to manage the main synthesis parameters
– effortless starting on a new noise, but a capacity to add a lot of detail/modulation while the patch advances
The Moog it’s possible to sound warm, classic, complexity, gritty or downright chaotic as you would like. The filter options (including adjusting the spacing of this two SVF ‘halves’) are great.
BUT I’ve had severe tuning problems. Some voices a semitone or more out of tune. Just loading a patch could leave all patches that are future of tune, requiring a reboot. Moog help seemed interested initially, but after per week’s silence and showing that a beta firmware release doesn’t fix the issues, I’ve had enough.
