I received this guitar this morning and put it straight to work busking. I was immideiately taken by the great finish this Guitar has, also the fingerboard is great, the action straight out of the box was perfect, no buzzes anywhere. I probably played it for about 3 hours today, and the tuning was great, projection excellent and it is very easily playable. The fact it starts off with D’addario strings is a definate plus. For a budget guitar I am very impressed, I play fingerstyle entirely and the guitar really sings. Also a word for the Thomann service, quick delivery and brilliantly protected with their double packaging.

May 13th. I have now busked with this guitar for some 6 weeks. It still amazes me how Epiphone can can make a guitar of this quality for such a low price. Because I use it every day it is coming to the time to change strings, I will report again after this as I will be fitting slightly lighter gauge strings than came as stock.

June 03. new string fitted with no need to adjust the truss rod at all. I get loads of guitarists stop while I’m busking and ask how much I had to pay for such a ‘great sounding’ acoustic. The reaction is usuall one of disbelief.

Comment:

I snapped the high e string when i first got the guitar so went with martin medium strings to help strengthen my fingers as a starter to guitar playing, it was a good move as now i have light strings fitted i can notice how easy barre chrords are now. Its obviously built on a budget if you look closely the neck isnt sanded evenly and the paint lines are slightly wonky up the neck but saying that the laminate still looks good after a year, the guitar plays well if a little boomy with quite a lot of reverb release from the strings. For a learner guitar playing open and barre chords its perfect and always stays in tune after the strings are settled in but i found myself wanting to plug into an amp after 6 months of playing I i ended up fitting an aftermarket pick up) and using the upper frets is awkward without a cutaway on the body. That said i would have this guitar again if i had to make the noob decision and im sure it will last me another year of playing before i decide to upgrade, also the resale value on even the cheap epeiphone guitars is quite good so you should get a good return if you decide to give up or upgrade 🙂

Yamaha builds great guitars and basses – that is now well established. Especially in the fields of acoustic guitars and electroacoustics, we can expect a very high quality uct.

The folk series had the task of ucing something reliable alongside the modern APX and contemporary models. The classic shape (with and without cutaway), tried and tested wood types and good workmanship ensure that the guitars sound fantastic when played acoustically or, if necessary, amplified.

The F310 is a typical folk guitar for a truly affordable beginners’ price. Its spruce top, meranti body, nato neck with a rosewood fretboard – which cannot possibly sound stale – make it not only affordable but downright cheap for a guitar that nobody needs to hide.
