I purchased this guitar for my younger nephew who has been playing for about 2 years. I did a test of the guitar before i gave it to him..This is what i found….

On first inspection the guitar looks pretty good out of the box. It has a plastic bridge, laminated spruce top, plastic pins, chrome tuners and ebony fretboard. Large single cut-away on the guitar and Fishman electro acoustic panel and pickups. It came with a gig bag, tools and it may have come with a cable too.

The tone of the guitar is quite full and pretty warm. I changed the strings to some Martins as i prefer those, but the factory ones were fine. I used through a p.a, and i found this to be it’s best ampiflication mode. Through a small amp it sounded thin, tinny, and scratchy, but all electro acoustics do in my opinion, not just this one.

The action was okay. I found that as an experienced player i could get around the guitar without too much hassle.
The finish of the guitar was okay. Some money saved with plastic pins, and bridge, but I cannot remember anything bad, or out of the ordinary concerning this guitar…..

I would say if you’re a pro, semi pro, or pretty experinced you won’t be looking at buying this guitar, as we know it won’t meet our needs. Like a lot of things in life you get what you pay for. But as a learner, or someone pretty new to the game a guitar like this could be right up their street. You have to research, try some out in shops, and then take a chance on something….That’s life…….

At time of writing the guitar is £80 United Kingdom Sterling. I think that’s not bad value, a kid could learn whilst using it, take it to school, practices etc……And an adult beginner could start with something like this also………

Comment:

I bought this guitar mainly for playing at parties, where I’m not afraid to lend to other drunk friends so they can sing a few songs.

Features:
This guitar has a tuner built into it, which is a nice touch for such a cheap guitar. It can be plugged into a desk or amp and has a built in EQ to help fix the sound.

Sound:
This guitar is good for busking. Acoustically, it sounds decent and quite loud for the price. The biggest problem is it’s mic, which picks up the higher strings a lot louder than the lower E and A strings, which makes it quite useless for gigging with when you need to do some solos on it.

Quality:
It has a good black finish to it, and definitely looks the part. The tuners are decent too, smooth with no hiccups in the turning mechanism.

For the price it’s a good guitar. If you are playing for bigger stages and want to sound your best, I would look elsewhere, but for small parties and general practice this guitar is very nice.

Yamaha builds great guitars and basses – that is now well established. Especially in the fields of acoustic guitars and electroacoustics, we can expect a very high quality uct.

The folk series had the task of ucing something reliable alongside the modern APX and contemporary models. The classic shape (with and without cutaway), tried and tested wood types and good workmanship ensure that the guitars sound fantastic when played acoustically or, if necessary, amplified.

The F310 is a typical folk guitar for a truly affordable beginners’ price. Its spruce top, meranti body, nato neck with a rosewood fretboard – which cannot possibly sound stale – make it not only affordable but downright cheap for a guitar that nobody needs to hide.
