I liked what I read about non-master amps, and I bought this one on speculation. I am overall very satisfied with the amp.

Beautiful open unrestrained sound quality. Just the right amount of grit in the tone. It takes pedals very well, and this means that I can run dist pedals in front of reverb, delay and modulation with very good result. I don’t need to run the time machines in loop. Best result is with single coil pickups where the tonal quality really comes out, and you need to work the guitar volume to find the right amount of distortion.

Nice size and weight. Looks good.

My only issue is that the channel switching didn’t work from the start. Channel select and boost select have only worked for a couple of minutes from foot switch or control panel. It is being fixed, and the overall quality is so good that I can forgive Fender for this.

All in all, I recommend this amp for anyone wanting to have an open sounding masterless combo. I am thinking of buying another to run stereo.
