nice guitar , i am in love with the vintage looks , its a nice brown burst and i think its going to be with me for a long time .

first class service from Thomann as usual ..

guitars good points = very light and sits well , the balance is spot on . neck sits horizontal and because of the light weight body the guitar sits in the same spot , no neck pulling to the floor or body pulling it to the sky .

the finish is very nice , it looks like a vintage burst and the brown makes it look older then you would expect . i have to admit i was not expecting it to look so good .

guitar is not set up yet because the frets need leveling and action lowered so i wont comment on staying in tune ,

tuners look standard for a guitar of this price and i intend to change them along with electronics and pickups .

stock pickups sound ok .

guitars bad points = guitar does not look like described , its better , google search the brown burst and see how nice it looks , dont go by the pic provided .

volume pot sticks so i guess i got a bad one , should have sent it back but im keeping it , changing pots/pickups and nut etc as im in love with this little guitar . it looks great . feels wonderful and that neck is just comfortable in my hands ..

its one of the less expensive Ibanez guitars so you cant expect much .. i wasnt and im surprised just how good it looks and feels . frets were nice apart from one or two needing leveled but a set up will fix that .

i think i will have this guitar for a very long time

i you are thinking of this for a first guitar , there are better for half the price , if you are thinking for a second guitat , there is better at that price , if you want something you can mod and keep for a long time ..this is for you ..

gave it 4 stars because it isnt a first class guitar for the price . but my heart says 5 stars on looks and feel .

A mixed bag for this one. The finish on the body is excellent, and feels very comfortable slung around your neck. It is a very light weight guitar, and the body is quite thin. Closer to a PRS SE than a Strat.

The neck has an almost matte finish rather than satin, and has thin profile, a touch thinner than a Strat. Fret finish seems good. The tuners work smoothly and accurately. The trem works smoothly, with the arm being a push fit, and not floppy. The action is controlled via the two mounting points of the trem. The saddles are adjustable for intonation just like a strat, but the saddles themselves have no individual height adjustment, so like a tune-o-matic in that sense.

The pickups all sound good, especially in positions 2 and 4 where the out of phase sound is really excellent.

Now for the bad points (remember this is a £150 guitar!). The control knobs are the most horrible cheap feeling lightweight chromed plastic, and feel cheap and nasty as well. The humbucker is mounted niceley, but the two single coils were both mounted at an angle, and tight to the body cavity on one side. There appeared to be no real height adjustment, and both SC’s were a little too high.

There were intonation problems especially on the G & B strings, which I couldn’t adjust out. (This may have been down to magnet pull from the high SC’s, or cheap strings that were fitted, as the guitar was not fitted the D’Addario strings as the neck tag proudly claimed).

The action was very high in my opinion, and even then, there was a buzz from the A string right the way up the neck, and I don’t think it was caused by the saddle. Individual string height adjustment may have helped here.

In conclusion, the guitar is definately worth the money if we ignore the A string issue on my particular example. The guitar really does have excellent tone, and if this is a purchase for a student, an excellent choice to make. If you already have better quality guitars, I wouldn’t recommend it.
