Comment:

As an intermediate guitar player I found this fantastic and super easy to use. I was looking for something that:

a) is shaped like a Les Paul
b) is great for practicing solos.

I had the feeling that point b) would be nicely fulfilled, but I had no idea how much. This guitar is SUPERB for that. It’s just so easy to play
on, it’s just amazing.

I have an Ibanez RGRT421 and this ART120QA-SB, both from Thomann. Amazing entry level guitars, different styles and both every enjoyable in their unique ways and I just use them based on what I feel like playing. Feeling like soloing? I grab the ART, anything else goes to the RGRT. The neck of the ART is just more suited for soloing.

5/5 recommended!

One thing though, the guitar does not look like the one in the photo. Mine came with an orange-ish tint instead of the red.

Comment:

I was on the lookout for an LP style guitar for a longer time, I have a couple of Teles, both Fender and not-so-Fender, one Tokai Strat and a Yamaha RGX. The Ibanez looked good on the web page and since I didn’t want to buy a Special or a Studio, this was in the right price category. It arrived one week after ordering.

Very nice overall impression. The finish is a bit browner than I expected (not orange/reddish as in the pictures), but nothing to worry about. Still very nice looking. Set up correctly straight from the box. Didn’t even bother to change the strings, sounds nice. Powerful sounding humbuckers. No splitting possible, but you cannot have everything at this price class. Very playable neck and nice low action. Excellent value for money, highly recommended.
