The new Epiphone series is unreal, affordable and most importantly unrivaled quality for the price!

The Epiphone SG is light, but not flimsy, it has a solid wooden body with beautiful ebony finish
The action is ideal for anyone looking to go heavy and ideal for palm muting with the slightly raised bridge

Not to mention the duel pickups are crisp and clean, great sound

New strings took some warming up before it began to sound clean but other than that I would recommend this to beginners, intermediates, and even pros looking to get a very nice guitar for their collection on the cheap!

I think I’ve bought around a dozen guitars / basses from Thomann but this is the first to be returned. It was bought on the strength of the reviews but I guess I got the reject that escaped from the production line.

It has a bad earth buzz, the scratchplate didn’t survive the removal of the protective film, its neck is horrible and the Matt finish is sub-standard (CF Harley Benton models).

Should have bought the next model up…
