Comment:

I’ve had this guitar for about 8 months now and I can totally say that this is a great guitar for practice and even gigs. I’ve done a few gigs with this one and it sounded great.
Initially I didn’t expect much and I just wanted a guitar to play in my apartment using headphones but it really exceeded my expectations.
Would recommend if you’re looking for a stratocaster on the cheaper side.

Comment:

This Affinity I got is not so good. Some frets were too high and I had to sand them down. Fret number 15 was of different kind than the rest. There was a lot of fret sprout. More work. The neck was at a wrong angle and I had to shimmy the neck to get a right action: lotta work! The bridge pickup had a very low volume. I ended up replacing it. The sound was ok. Reasonable Fender twang. The knobs were all wrong: they wobbled when you turned them and they didn’t line up. When one was on "10", the other showed "7". (Not very important, but irritating.) I wanted a guitar to mod but I didn’t expect a bad product like this. Overall quality was a letdown and the quality control has been non-existent. If I could do it over again I would go for a Classic Vibe.

Originally, Squier was once the only supplier of wallet-friendly variations of Fender models with their original appearance. They had and still have a very good reputation. Even the profis didn’t mind being seen with a Squier. After Fender started to uce cheaper models (made in Mexico) under its own name, Squier now supplies the really low-priced Fender models.

The Affinity is a strat for the entry-level budget, and due to its slightly narrower neck (width at the saddle: 40.6 mm) is particularly suitable for young guitarist beginners and those switching models.

With the maple neck and fretboard, like the prototype she was modelled on, she delivers the fast crisp attack, which in combination with the three single coils, represents the classic 1950s strat sound for many music lovers.
