I am going to ignore the price of the guitar in this review. Also while I have extensive experience with music I am relatively new to electric guitars.
When I started playing it I was surprised by the quality of the sound. Very clear, both in single notes and chords. The neck pickup can give you jazzy sounds while the bridge pickup has that beautiful and unmistakable tele twang. The factory settings (intonation, action, etc.) seemed also pretty good on mine, but one should expect to review this anyway. The frets seem to be leveled fine, at least I don’t have buzzing or sustain issues. I can see myself taking this guitar to gigs without issue for the time being.
Upon closer inspection I found many rough elements, mostly cosmetic. Some screws were twisted, the neck wooden guide for your thumb felt a little irregular in some area, and one side of the fret polishing was quite rough towards the bottom of the neck. The guitar also appears to not have a lot of sustain, and the sustain might vary slightly between notes. However I don’t have a another guitar for comparison in terms of sustain. Overall I am quite pleased with it.

Comment:

This guitar is excellent if it wasn’t quality control issues.
It came with a bent neck, a broken string, and a broken tone knob. It wasn’t worth it to send it back to Germany to be replaced, so I gave it to a local luthier to fix all the problems, oil the fretboard, and replace the strings. After that, the guitar plays great without dead spots and has the sweet telecaster bridge sound. If you have a good luthier in your area this guitar its worth it.
Telecasters supposed to be cheap and easy to be fixed so I don’t mind the few issues that guitar was having. If the body and the neck are solid, the rest can be fixed. It could be avoided if Thomman stuff were opening every box and check every aspect of the guitar before shipping, but I know is time-consuming and will add to the cost. Maybe they can add it as an added option at checkout.
