Bought a Fiesta Red hardtail several months ago which was built very good.
So I ordered a white one at Thomann.

What I got however was not a hardtail but a beautiful tremolo version, some mix-up from living in a box, haha.

These things happen for a reason, in my opinion.

I was very surprised about the super quality of neck, fretboard and frets.
No sharp edges, no buzz, straight, perfect intonation and overall a nice grain and colour.

So I keep it Thomann!

After two weeks I corrected the tremolo system to float. Wow for the second time, for this money I am a happy camper. It stays in tune even after divebombs and funny fiddling! Super guitar in my honest opinion.

Update Update Update; After another two weeks a B-stock HT ( HardTail) popped up at Thomann so I bought it also. Very nice player, got one with the right Affinity tuners so in the end it was worth the wait.

People, but one while you still can, hardtails are very convincing in sound, even with these cheaper hardware. Put decent stuff on it, make it a stringthrough and play like Robert Cray!

I bought this as I wanted a lightweight guitar in the living room that I can pickup when I want and not worry if I dent it. I also wanted to see what a laurel fingerboard was like before I ordered a Fender Squire Jazzmaster.
The neck is fuller than the dreaded "nice slim neck" that beginners guitars are often plagued with. The Laurel fingerboard is fine. Just like rosewood if a tad heavier grained. Obviously it has no trem which is what I wanted and the pickups are Ceramic and the controls and tuners are not top of the range. However, it feels and sounds good to play and I suspect that a beginner starting on one of these is going to be disappointed with an upgrade unless it is to one of the higher spec Harley Bentons or very high spec fender.
