The guitar is great for the price but needs some work.
In my copy, I grinded a drop of paint under the pickup frame, which interfered with a snug fit.
The frets bite a little. And they have small irregularities that I can eliminate, since I have experience in grinding frets, the problem is not significant and does not interfere with using the guitar, if you do not lower the strings below 1.5 mm, nothing rings. Although I love to bring my guitars to perfection.
In terms of sound and sustain, the guitar is excellent for that kind of money. Perfect for those who love ac / dc sound.
For metal, I would recommend changing the pickups to more powerful ones.
The sound is very clear.
I do not have enough push-pull potentiometers, I will add it myself.
I will also add a 3rd potentiometer for 2 volumes and 1 tone.
The anchor adjusts the neck perfectly.
The guitar is all screened with graphite.
Tuners are good, but it is better to change them to lock tuners.

Comment:

This isn’t my first Harley Benton instrument so I already had an idea about the quality, especially of the upper tier of HB instruments, but still, a guitar that good for such little money never ceases to surprise!

I’ve bee playing for more than 15 years and, compared to my early days, these new cheap guitars are light years ahead in terms of build quality, features and quality control. And since HB is Thomann’s in-house brand, you get a lot more bang for your buck!

First off, the guitar is stunning. Simply beautiful and built extremely well. Finish is nice and smooth everywhere. I’ve looked thoroughly but could not find runs, hairs or any imperfections in the finish whatsoever.
It is also put together excellently. There are no crooked or loose screws, no gaps anywhere, no badly cut plastics, everything is just smooth and nice.

The hardware’s really good, as well. The bridge, while not extremely substantial, is really solid and works well. Same goes for the tuners. Solid, steady and smoothly progressive. Combined with a perfectly cut nut, the guitar just needs a tune and it’s ready to play.
The action can get ridiculously low without buzzing, dead frets and the such.
The pots are equally good. Nothing extremely fancy, granted, but functional and solid.
Only con I found was a slightly higher fret, nothing a couple of taps with a hammer can’t solve!

Sound is also very nice. The Wilkinson pickups are spot on on that classic rock crunch and work well in any situation. Of course, rock and metal are in its wheelhouse but you can get some pretty full, round cleans as well. Not bad!
If I could gripe on about one thing, that would be the 24 frets that place the neck pickup closer to the bridge and the difference in tone isn’t that drastic. But that’s just nitpicking, to be honest.

Summing up, this is a beautiful guitar for very little money and I can’t really find a single thing wrong with it. It’s a highly recommended buy, worth every penny! For beginners and… financially challenged pros alike!
