I had this for some months now and It’s ok, for its price range is good. Bear in mind the border are actually painted brown, only the border of the guitar, the rest of the body is visible wood.
Very light but sound good and good sustain. I guess is a plus if someone have some back problems and need a lightweight guitar.
When delivered was still in tune, the strings height was ok and I played right out of the box almost without any particular need of tweaking anything.
Except for initially I had the impression I needed to file the edges of the frets, maybe a bit sharp but I remembered that sometimes dry or wet places tend to have the wooden neck growing or shrinking a little over a long period of time.
And indeed that has been the case, I just waited a couple of months and now the guitar neck is just fine and no needs to file any sharp edges. I guess is because compared to Thomann warehouse my living place is more wet and the wood changed its width slightly over time.
I’m an adult nowadays, and compared to the cheap guitar I had decades ago when teen, this is really more value, as starting guitar if you like its vintage/no varnish aesthetic style, just grab it.
Only cons: I would have loved if it had the killpot as its predecessor but this model hasn’t. So if you want that, look the other Epiphone models in similar price range.
