Even though the name is not up there with the great guitar makers, forget the name on the headstock. This is every bit as good as guitars 3x times the price. In fact I have a Music Man Luke III which amazing but this G290 is a very close 2nd.

Given the price, the guitar is great. Compound neck is very comfortable altough I expected it to be slightly thinner, coming from Fender Performer Stratocaster. Easy access to upper frets is a huge plus.
