Comment:

I like the typical sound of a Strat and wanted to buy a SQ Strat as an additional guitar for a reasonable price.

Positives:
The Strat looks good, paintwork is very good, neck is very smooth. The sound is also good and clear with lots of options to get different sounds from the 5 way switch.

Negatives:
When I received the guitar is was unplayable. The neck was concave and required a major truss rod adjustment. My first reaction was to send the guitar back to Thomann. However I decided to bring the Strat to a guitar specialist to set it up properly. Other issues with the guitar: tuners are poor and don’t run smooth, and the tone knobs are not straight.

I’m reasonalbly happy with the guitar now, most important is that the sound is good. The overall quality, especially out-of-the-box is poor. If you are a beginner and you want a bit more than a EUR150 guitar then this guitar is an option. If you are a more experienced player and you are looking for a proper quality Strat as your main ax, I would leave this guitar and move on to another price range.

Comment:

This guitar is just amazing!
The color, the sound and the playability is just superb. Excellent price to performance ratio.
So happy with the purchase.
