I just got the guitar and to be honest I had my doubts about what I was getting myself into. A Floyd 1000 with stainless steel frets and roasted maple neck are features of 1000€ + guitar. I was totally blown away by the quality of the instrument.

When I got it it was perfectly intonated, but the strings were a bit high for me and after a quick setup it was apparent that I’ve got a great deal on this instrument. It’s super comfortable, perfectly balanced and it looks killer. The neck is fantastic. It’s not as thin as an Ibanez but it’s not fat by any means. The freatbord is just a bit narrower than an Ibanez but that’s a good thing in my book. The frets are perfectly done. Normaly when I buy guitars I have to finish the fret edges myself but here this wasn’t needed.

Of course it’s not only rainbows and unicorns. There are some cons but they are so minor that you don’t even notice them. Some are:
– The position of the pickup split switch. It’s in an awkward place for me. I’d preffer to not have a tone knob, but to have the splitter switch on that spot instead.
– I can’t quite reach the 23th and 24th frets as comfortably as on an Ibanez for example. I wish the neck joint was just a bit thinner.
– The pickups are pretty low output and they have a big volume difference between them. The Neck pickup is much more louder than the Bridge one.
– I’d love for the neck to be just a bit wider or the fret crowns to be done a bit more to the edge of the neck because currently I sometimes run out of fretboard and the high and low E strings go over the edge of the fretboard

Comment:

Amazing how far the guitar industry has come with quality and features vs money.

The guitar is playable from the box which makes it perfect for new player. If you modify and add pickups etc it will only add to the value, compared to brand guitars who should stay the same.

Roasted neck, new feature for me, love it. Smooth to the hand but still quick.
Stainless frets, bending is flawless and no grinding sound.
Floyd Roses, stays in tune after dive bombing to the moon and back.
Finish, flawless.
Weight, 3185g.
Pickups, one is a little bit week in the volume. But then I’m nitpicking comparing to price.

Costumer service, the best!
