I bought this guitar after seeing a lot of good reviews online and I thought of giving smaller new companies a chances, as at first I was decided on the Nick Johnston HSS, but since that wasn’t in stock, I ordered this guitar. When it arrived, I noticed the 16th fret was higher than the other, which obviously resulted a lot of dead notes. I returned the instrument and got a new one which has some weird stains under the lacquer layer on the fretboard. I mean, I know it’s not a Fender Custom Shop Master Built guitar, but it’s also not a 200$ guitar. I was expecting more care when it comes to QC. I also own a Sire V3 Marcus Miller V3 and that instrument is flawless. Needless to say I am trying to get my money back from Thomann, return the replacement guitar and get another brand.

Aside from the QC issues, everything looks and sounds good. The pickups are decent, the pots aren’t noisy, the tuners hold really well and everything feels pleasant. If they fix their QC, it’s undoubtedly a very good mid priced superstrat.

Ive been looking for a strat for a while about three years lol ive had american and mexican ive had custom shops i have also had so many super strats i have lost count and i never keep them EVER lol. So i caught a promo for these on a well known you tube channel so i pulled the trigger on this i unpacked it with the usual feeling of "i hope this one works" i have to admit it looked beaut the finish on the neck was custom shop material the finish on the body is okay but this neck is a beautiful thing the locking tuners work really well and to my surprise it stayed in tune even after some serious shredding and diving lol i am lucky enough that i can try almost every guitar that hits the market. The pickups are a bit bright for my taste but for £550 (mexican strat money) i can afford to swap them out i have found my EXCALIBUR I honestly cant believe it and i dont think anyone who buys this wont believe just how amazing this looks and feels it feels like an old familiar friend BUY ONE johnm
