Comment:

Picked this guitar out because I was after some P90 tones, and the quality of the build and hardware appeared to be really good. I’m glad to say I wasn’t disappointed. The build and finish are flawless. The brushed matte finish doesn’t pick up finger marks and looks like it will age gracefully. Apart from a little intonation adjustment, the setup was flawless right out of the box. The neck feels fast and has a nice SG type profile, a little chunkier than my old Mustang, but very comfortable with a beautifully finished fretboard.
The guitar has a great resonance even when played acoustically, but when you plug it in that’s when the fun starts. These are easily the nicest p90s I have heard, quiet, balanced and with a clean, hot output. The variation in tone from bridge to neck goes from a glorious shiny twang all the way to deep rich jazz tones. The tone control is quite effective and the pull switch "coil tap" sound is actually more useful than I expected. Overall I’m delighted with the Revstar, so much so that it’s become my main squeeze, edging out some much more expensive instruments. Get one, you’ll love it
